The Best of Congo

This exceptional coffee won first place at the Best of Congo 2024 competition. We've given it a light roast to retain a clean, vibrant profile with fresh raspberry and cream flavours, a mild acidity, and a luxuriously creamy mouthfeel.

Only four sacks of this award-winning coffee exist - and we’ve got two of them after paying a record sum for a Congolese coffee. Because this coffee is that good. In fact, we believe coffees as outstanding as this one will open doors for DRC farmers for generations to come.

On 27 January, M23 fighters seized Goma, the capital of DRC’s North Kivu province. Thousands of people have been killed, hundreds of thousands displaced, and the UN has warned that sexual violence has been used as a weapon of war.

The Muungano Cooperative’s members work on farms surrounding Goma, and it's likely that many of them have been affected by the conflict.

All profits from the sale of this limited-edition coffee will go to the Panzi Foundation. An organisation supporting survivors of sexual and gender-based violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
